Gram stain kit

Filamentous bacteria can cause sludge bulking or foaming in activated sludge plants, as well as being good indicators of sub-optimal conditions such as low DO. There are approximately 25 different types of filamentous bacteria commonly found in activated sludge plants. Different filamentous bacteria have different causes and effects, so identifying which filaments you have in your plant can be really useful. The Gram stain is one tool used to assist with identification of different filamentous bacteria.

Our Gram stain kit, with 50 mL of each of 4 reagents, is yours for only $120 plus GST and delivery. This is sufficient to undertake approximately 50 Gram stains. Please note, we only supply within New Zealand.
